   Our signature multi-day photography adventures take you to some of America’s most inspiring national parks and other breathtaking scenic destinations. These immersive 3–7 day experiences blend photography, travel, creativity, camaraderie, and exploration into unforgettable journeys filled with learning, laughter, and discovery.

   Over the years, Jeff & his Soul Road Trips have wandered down some remarkable roads and trails in search of inspiration. We’ve stood beneath the towering granite walls of Yosemite, chased light through the red rock wonderlands of Canyonlands and Arches, explored the sweeping dunes of Great Sand Dunes of Colorado, The White Sands of New Mexico, and discovered beauty in some of America’s most alluring national parks.

   However, not every grand scenic adventure leads to a postcard landscape image.

   Sometimes the magic hides in unexpected places. From the rusting automotive relics of Old Car City, USA, to the vibrant streets of New York City, the architectural wonders of Chicago, and the colorful soul of New Orleans, we’ve learned that extraordinary photographs can be found wherever curiosity leads the way.

   Because with Soul Road Trips, the destination is only part of the journey. The real adventure is learning to see the world—and yourself—with fresh eyes.

WALK-ABOUTS

   Part workshop, part photographic scavenger hunt, and part creative adventure, Walk-Abouts are hands-on, in-person experiences lasting 3+ hours. Together we’ll explore, experiment, and uncover fresh ways of seeing while developing both technical skills and artistic vision in a relaxed, supportive environment.

Walk-Abouts are bite-sized photographic adventures designed to introduce you to a unique location, creative concept, or visual challenge without requiring days away from work, home and family. We’ll explore, experiment, and chase interesting photographs together while discovering new ways to see the world around us. 

Then, after the adventure, we’ll reconnect online for a special Zoom gathering where Jeff will pull back the curtain and share how he approachs the experience, selected my images, and transformed them during post-processing. You’ll also have the opportunity to share your own creations, receive feedback, and see how differently a group of photographers can interpret the very same scene.

Because the photographs are only half the story. The conversations, discoveries, and shared inspiration are what make the journey complete.

THE MASTER'S TOUCH

The Master’s Touch is my live Zoom presentation series for photographers seeking inspiration, education, and creative growth from anywhere in the world. These engaging 60–90 minute online sessions offer practical insights, visual inspiration, and thought-provoking ideas designed to help you become a more intentional and expressive photographer. Recordings are available to paid attendees so you can revisit the experience whenever inspiration calls.

The Master’s Touch presentations are intentionally different from traditional photography classes. While technical concepts certainly have their place, these sessions focus more deeply on the creative side of image-making—the often-overlooked space where vision, curiosity, imagination, and personal expression come together.

Topics are eclectic, thought-provoking, and designed to stretch the way you think about photography. Together we’ll explore the creative process, challenge conventional approaches, experiment with new ways of seeing, and discuss how technology can serve your artistic vision rather than dictate it. We’ll examine not only the mechanics of creating photographs, but also the mindset, intention, and decision-making that shape meaningful images.

Along the way, I’ll share insights from my own photographic journey, discuss creative breakthroughs and failures, offer practical techniques and technical guidance, and encourage you to venture beyond your comfort zone in pursuit of something more personal and authentic.

Whether we’re discussing black and white photography, visual storytelling, artistic interpretation, composition, creativity, or finding inspiration in unexpected places, each session is designed to leave you energized, challenged, and eager to explore new possibilities with your camera.
