COLORS of COLORADO
Ouray, Utah | Sept 30 - Oct 4
Two incredible national parks & one stunning state park . . .
WHAT MORE COULD YOU WANT IN THE FALL?
Ouray, Silverton, The Million Dollar Highway, The Dallas Divide, snow-capped mountain ranges and oh ya . . . ASPEN TREES!! Colorful, gorgeous and plentiful Aspen trees. There are so many things to see and photograph in Colorado's beautiful southwest that we won't come home empty
handed . . . I promise!
You may have been here before so you know what's in store. If you haven't, well then, you simply owe
it to yourself to come along on this memorable
Soul Road Trip. I'll show you some very beautiful locations as we chase the light
for some delicious imagery and an
experience you'll not
I will share with you my thoughts on pre-visualization and composition that will help you create different and unique photographs. We will also talk about equipment, the exposure triangle, exposure (image) blending, focus stacking and
more. Bring your questions and we'll work
them out along the way.
WHAT TO EXPECT
This is a wonderful opportunity to experience and photograph fall in SW Colorado. There is nothing else quite like it. I will challenge you to create fine art imagery other than what you have been comfortably doing. I will suggest and share different techniques other than what is on your “usual shot list!"
Yes, there are some amazing scenes on this trip that will make you comfortable with your photography. But, I want you to push yourself. I’ll suggest you try a different lens, or point-of-view. I will challenge you to create something that you don't normally see. You are in for some great lessons.
This is a workshop, I want you to work!! Alright, its a fun adventure and we'll feed you well. So, come along and see autumn like you've never seen autumn before. Truly a life changing adventure!

All skill levels are encouraged to come and play in this atmosphere beyond words. After the workshop you will see why words can't explain this unusual
and unique collection of photographically
rich landscape. Seriously!
Here are some of the things I hope to encourage your photographic growth in:
~ Image pre-visualization
~ Depth of field
~ Lens selection
~ Image prep in Lightroom
~ Image enhancement in Photoshop
~ and so much more
If you'd like to see what you too can create, visit my fine art web site at JeffJohnsonFineArt.com
Camera, tripod, filters, lenses, shutter release, Hoodman loupe and whatever other gear makes you happy. Also bring your laptop with Photoshop and Lightroom already installed and working. Sunscreen, sunglasses, bug spray and a hat
are advised. Having layers of clothing is great
as you can take off and put them back
on as the temperature changes. Having rain
gear available is not a bad idea either.
Rain gear for your equipment, too!
WHAT TO BRING
IN THE CLASSROOM
This is a hands-on opportunity so bring your computer! I have discovered that offering critique sessions during a Road Trip greatly increases your growth. Being able to shoot, critique, adjust and understand during a workshop is a very efficient and
rewarding way to learn.
I will offer a Zoom session a couple of weeks following the Road Trip. This is an ideal situation because we are all comfortable at home with our familiar computer setups. We will take a look at your imagery and I can offer critiques and other helpful and positive feedback. Then I will offer my
step-by-step process of howI interpret
and enhance my imagery.
For your investment you will have the opportunity to photograph some of the most incredible landscapes in the national and state parks system. There are a
lot of unique views and landscapes to
photograph in the parks we
will be visiting in Utah.
