WHITE SANDS NATIONAL PARK
MARCH 6 - 10, 2020
Soft subtle white hills of dramatic beauty.
The sands of White Sands National Monument are rarely white. The dunes quite often reflect the color of the sky overhead. A lovely salmon color at sunrise and a sweet violet and blue at the end of the day. Very fine sand that often blows in the breeze creating riffs of sand from the peak of a dune. Very similar to spindrift often seen on mountain peaks when the wind blows snow off the peak.
Our treat is that we can capture the many faces of White Sands National Monument. We will also photograph the full Supermoon rising over the Organ Mountains just to the south. Many other dessert scenes, textures and patterns wait for us to capture and create some unique fine art images. This is such a different shooting experience, please join us!

This is a hands-on opportunity so bring your computer!
I have discovered that offering critique sessions during a Road Trip greatly increases your growth. Being able to shoot, critique, adjust and understand during a workshop is a very efficient and rewarding way to learn.
I'll share with you how I edit and prepare my images in Lightroom and Photoshop. I also use the NIK Software suite. Have these all loaded and running on your computer before the class, please!
Your Investment -
For your investment you will have the opportunity to photograph some of the most incredible sand dunes in the US. There are a lot of eclectic items to photograph around Alamagordo and surrounding areas.
