OCTOBER 22 - 26, 2021

Grand, Majestic, Breathtaking . . .

Doesn't Even Cover It!
The Grand Tetons are such an amazing sight the first time you see them. Actually, they are amazing every time you see them. The weather changes so frequently that the look of the actual peaks changes their demeanor and appeal. Whether it is at sunrise or sunset, you won't be disappointed with your photographs. We will view and photograph the Tetons from several vantage points including Schwabacher's Landing and Elk Ranch Flats to Mt Moran at Oxbow Bend and reflections of the northern Tetons in Jackson Lake.

You love wildlife right? How about some bison, elk, deer, bear and more? We'll go searching for these critters as well. Another treat of photographing at the Tetons is along the Mormon Row Historic District. The famous Moulton barns are not to be forgotten with a sun-kissed Grand Teton in the background.

Let's not forget about the wildflowers all around us as well. Plenty of them and time to capture these beauties with macro style photography. We will also visit Moose Falls inside Yellowstone's south park entrance. A quick stop into the Jackson Lake Lodge for the grand view of the entire Teton Range! It's a beauty!

This Road Trip is a popular one with plenty to see and do. We are limiting this trip to 13 photographers so don't even stop to think about whether you are coming or not. JUST SIGN UP!!!

Wake Up World

This is one of those trips where everybody is so excited to come and photograph. We do our best to see the various popular places and some not-so-popular. We are chasing the light so we go to where the light will be best. Some locations may be changed on the fly . . . just hang-on, we'll find good locations. You honestly can't miss!

Bring your favorite camera gear, tripod, shutter release, filters and laptop with Photoshop and Lightroom already installed and working. I'll offer an image critique or two. This has proven to be an awesome addition to these Road Trips as folks really learn best if they can shoot, get feedback, adjust and shoot some more.

All skill levels are encouraged to come and play in this atmosphere beyond words. After the workshop you will see why words can't explain this unusual and unique collection of  photographically  rich landscape. Seriously!

Here are some of the things I hope to encourage your photographic growth in:

  • Image pre-visualization

  • Composition

  • Exposure

  • Depth of field

  • Lens selection

  • Image prep in Lightroom

  • Image enhancement in Photoshop

  • and so much more . . .

If you'd like to see what you too can create, visit my fine art web site at

This workshop is limited to 13 attendees so that I can run around and get with each of you to help and instruct as much as you desire. It is open to all levels of skill & desire so don’t be shy . . .

Lodging -

In the Field -
Camera, tripod, filters, lenses, release cord and whatever other gear makes you happy. Sunscreen, sunglasses, bug spray and a hat are advised. Having layers of clothing is great as you can take off and put them back on as the temperature changes. Having rain gear available is not a bad idea either. And rain gear for your equipment, too! More detailed info about gear after you register.

In the Classroom -

This is a hands-on opportunity so bring your computer!

I have discovered that offering critique sessions during a Road Trip greatly increases your growth. Being able to shoot, critique, adjust and understand during a workshop is a very efficient and rewarding way to learn.

I'll share with you how I edit and prepare my images in Lightroom and Photoshop. I also use the NIK Software suite. Have these all loaded and running on your computer before the class, please!

Your Investment -
For your investment you will have the opportunity to photograph some of the most incredible landscapes in the national park system. There are a lot of eclectic items to photograph in the park.
