OCTOBER 1 - 5, 2021

Southwest Colorado . . . What more could you possibly want in the fall?

Ouray, Silverton, The Million Dollar Highway, The Dallas Divide, snow-capped mountain ranges and oh ya . . . ASPEN TREES!! Colorful, gorgeous and plentiful Aspen trees. So many things to

see and photograph in Colorado's beautiful southwest that we won't come home empty handed . . . without award wining photographs, I mean!

You may have been here before so you know what's in store. If you haven't, well then, you simply owe it to yourself to come along on a Soul Road Trip. I'll show you some very beautiful locations as we chase the light for some delicious imagery and an experience you'll not soon forget.

I will share with you my thoughts on pre-visualization and composition to create different and unique photographs. We will also talk about equipment, the exposure triangle, exposure (image) blending, focus stacking and more. Bring your questions and we'll work them out along the way.

Seasonal Mishap

This is a wonderful opportunity to experience and photograph fall in SW Colorado. There is nothing else like it. You will be challenged to create fine art imagery. I will suggest different techniques other than what's "in your box".

Yes, there are some amazing scenes on this trip so you will be comfortable, but I want you to push yourself. Try a different lens, or point-of-view. Challenge yourself to create something that you don't normally see.

This is a workshop, I want you to work!! Alright, its a fun adventure and we'll feed you well. So, come along and see autumn like you've never seen autumn before. Truly a life changing adventure!

Mining homes in the Ironton Mining Camp

Bring your favorite camera gear, tripod, shutter release, filters and laptop with Photoshop CC and Lightroom CC (already installed and working)

All skill levels are encouraged to come and play in this atmosphere beyond words. After the workshop you will see why words can't explain this unusual and unique collection of  photographically  rich landscape. Seriously!

Here are some of the things I hope to encourage your photographic growth in:

  • Image pre-visualization

  • Composition

  • Exposure

  • Depth of field

  • Lens selection

  • Image prep in Lightroom

  • Image enhancement in Photoshop

  • and so much more . . .

If you'd like to see what you too can create, visit my fine art web site at

This workshop is limited to 10 attendees so that I can run around and get with each of you to help and instruct as much as you desire. It is open to all levels of skill & desire so don’t be shy . . .
